Sultan Star in 9-Wicket Win Over Hyderi Qalandars

Richmond Hill Liberty Cricket Club (RHLCC) produced a clinical, utterly dominant performance to crush Hyderi Qalandars by 9 wickets in their Commonwealth Cricket League Division 1 Afternoon encounter at The Cage. Showcasing surgical precision with the ball and ruthless authority during the chase, #TheBlueNation wrapped up the contest in a swift 7.2 overs.

After winning the toss and electing to field, captain Keron Sewnarine’s bowling attack immediately vindicated the decision by unleashing absolute havoc on the Hyderi Qalandars lineup. Kevin Augustin set a suffocating tone from the first ball, removing Ehtasham Ullah on his second delivery. Augustin conceded just 5 runs while bowling 2 maidens in his 4 overs to finish with remarkable figures of 1 for 5. Samuel Raghubir maintained the extreme pressure from the opposite end, claiming 2 for 14 off 5.5 overs with 2 maidens, including the early clean-bowled dismissal of skipper Ali Umair for a duck.

Tamesh Persaud provided total control in the middle overs, taking 1 for 6 off 4 overs with a maiden. Latchman Bisram then tore through the middle order, taking 2 wickets for just 3 runs in his 3 overs—including a maiden—to leave the Qalandars completely reeling.

Michael Sultan capped off the bowling clinic with a sensational four-wicket haul. Sultan completely dismantled the lower order, taking 4 for 11 in 4 overs (including 1 maiden). With a stumpings from keeper Mahendra Parsaram and sharp fielding across the board, RHLCC bundled out Hyderi Qalandars for a paltry 59 runs in 24.5 overs.

Faced with a minor target of 60, RHLCC made quick, aggressive work of the run chase. Opening batsman Latchman Bisram capped off an all-around star performance by putting on a clinic at the crease. Bisram slammed an unbeaten 36 runs off just 25 deliveries, striking at 144.00 with 2 boundaries and 3 towering sixes to completely erase any hope of a defense.

Christopher Blucher provided solid support at the top with a crisp 12 off 14 balls, striking 2 boundaries before being run out. Trevor Henry then joined Bisram to comfortably seal the victory, chipping in with an unbeaten 5 off 6 balls.

RHLCC cruised across the finish line at 60 for 1 in just 7.2 overs, securing a comprehensive win that perfectly reflects the team’s relentless pursuit of being “The Best At Getting Better”.
