With the 2016 summer cricket season quickly coming up and as the excitement for the summer’s action builds, Liberty Sports Club is getting things started with it’s annual backyard Bar-B-Que fundraiser. Into its 7th year now the event is almost considered a fixture on the Queens, New York cricket calendar. In the past it has presented a great opportunity for the cricket fraternity to gather and catch up after the winter break and in 2016 the event will do just the same.
The event is scheduled for 12 PM on Saturday, April 30th when the members, family and friends of the Queens, NY based club will again be read to play host to New York cricket supporters.
The location for the afternoon hang out is the same as it has been for the last 6 years, at the corner of 111 Ave and 110 St in South Ozone Park Queens.
This year in addition to the standard donations of $10 for BBQ tickets the club is presenting supporters with a $2 raffle for two chances to win a hoverboard. Hoverboards have been a gaining in popularity since the summer of 2015 and is expected to be one of the most sought after items with the weather warming up.
The club, which strives to create a positive environment for young members through the wonderful game of cricket, is also encouraging supporters to donate to our online fundraiser at http://youcaring.com/7thLSCBBQ.
Liberty SC is looking forward to the support from the entire cricket fraternity as we go into our 7th year and this our main fundraiser for the season. The action starts at 12 PM, see you there on April 30th!
